Fujian Province launches a new mining supervision model

Date:2023-07-12   Visits:2077

500 sets of tower high point video monitoring system pioneered the new technology of "Internet plus+video monitoring"

Recently, with the successful installation and use of 500 sets of high point video surveillance systems for iron towers, mines in Fujian Province have achieved real-time monitoring of 1531 ecologically sensitive areas, 668 high-risk areas for illegal mining, and 34 strategic mineral areas covering an area of 1963.6 square kilometers.

In recent years, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources, based on the "Iron Tower+5G+AI", pioneered the new technology of "Internet plus Video Monitoring", and used a new supervision mode to achieve all-weather artificial intelligence patrol and automatic alarm, greatly improving the real-time supervision efficiency of mines and effectively deterring illegal mining activities. As of the end of July this year, more than 2000 suspected illegal cases have been processed in a closed loop, and over a hundred suspected mining related illegal warning clues have been provided, with 25 cases verified by counties (cities).

The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Natural Resources introduced that the original "Tian Di Wang" system had monitoring blind spots and insufficient timeliness in the enforcement of satellite images. This time, using the "resource sharing" model, all 500 mine supervision points will be built on communication towers, achieving a "distant view from afar". This will effectively solve the problem of scarce basic resources and high investment in mining areas, accurately expand the monitoring field, and achieve precise perception of videos across the entire area, time period, and coverage

At the same time, the application of "Tower Vision" artificial intelligence technology, with the help of targeted algorithms, can accurately and actively identify illegal activities in mining areas, notify law enforcement personnel in a timely manner, and save evidence. The problems identified through the "zero latency" analysis of 5G networks can be promptly communicated to grassroots levels, providing a basis for precise crackdown on illegal activities. At present, Fujian Province has initially formed a four level work loop of provincial-level preliminary judgment, city level verification, and on-site law enforcement feedback from counties and townships (towns).

In addition, the Provincial Department of Natural Resources has also developed and utilized the "Mining Protection Vision Network" system to assist the "Sky Earth Network" satellite image law enforcement system, forming an integrated defense network of "Sky Earth". The system is equipped with redundant backend technologies such as technology integration, algorithm iteration updates, and equipment and facility upgrades. It can expand its application channels and increase supervision channels, and is applied in the form of "one tower for multiple purposes" to areas such as land use and disaster prevention.
