The International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM) is a non-governmental academic organization under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It was founded in 1969 and currently has 43 member countries. To date, it has held 17 International Mining Surveying Conferences and 49 Bureau meetings. The society holds a conference every three years, which is the largest and highest level academic event in the field of international mining surveying. The conference conducts extensive and in-depth exchange activities through keynote speeches, equipment exhibitions, technical inspections, and other forms.
The 18th International Mining Surveying Conference will be held in Xuzhou, China from October 26-29, 2023. After a 20-year hiatus, the International Mining Surveying Conference is once again held in China. Experts, scholars, and technicians from around the world will introduce the latest research results, showcase successful technological cases, conduct interdisciplinary integration, and propose future development directions and application needs around the conference theme of "Intelligent Surveying and Green Mines". At present, more than 20 countries' scientific and technological personnel have registered to attend the conference, and people from all walks of life are welcome to actively participate and exchange ideas.
This conference has been approved by the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education and selected for the "Guidelines for Important Academic Conferences (2023)" by the China Association for Science and Technology.
